Born and raised by the beach in Venice, California, designer Cindy Boudov has always been excited by rocks. During her time as a grader in the lab at the Gemological Institute of America (the world’s premier diamond authority), she worked with some of the most exquisite collections and stones imaginable. What spirits her away these days are the gems that don’t look like anything else she’s ever seen: unique geometric cuts, diamond slices and rustics previously thought of as “flawed” by the industry, rare fancy colored diamonds, beautiful shells, uncommon opals, expertly crafted cameos…it is these items that inspire her collection.
